Come Up and Seize Me Sometime (The Alienist)

Come Up and Seize Me Sometime

About this Artwork

When discussing summoning tentacled Terrors From Beyond with your boyfriend, it's always best to do so nekkid. :-)

Here we have my follow up piece to Relastra the Summoner. She is an Alienist character of mine in a D&D campaign. The Alienist is a character prestige class that is D&D's answer to playing Call of Cthulhu, when you're really not. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then consider yourself one of the lucky ones.

This piece was colored entirely in Photoshop 5.0. I have a tutorial here for those who are curious to know the steps involved in creating this piece. The tutorial also showcases many detailed shots depicting the insane details that get lost in the above version. Things such as individual eyelashes and a yummy close up of the slime on the foremost tentacles. Mmmm... close ups...

Credits: I was inspired by Don Seegmiller's Heaven and Hell piece, using his "Hell" gal as a partial reference for the pose.

Hmmm, interesting piece. The figure looks strikingly similar to one that I painted in an image years ago. You really should mass your values a bit more to give a feeling of volume to the figure and a sense of movement to the whole image.
