About the Artwork:
This is somewhat of a companion piece to Yellow Swallowtail. I had so much fun painting first butterfly, that I had extra ju-ju left for this piece. An American Painted Lady is a North American butterfly, common in New England. Despite the picture, they are quite small. Probably a quarter of the size of the Monarch butterfly.
