The Lamia

About this artwork:

Lamia are Greek demons. They have the upper torso of a beautiful woman with long black hair, the lower front half of a lion and the back lower half of a black goat. When I read about them, I thought they were pretty cool. The poses were inspired by a Boris piece I had seen.

Been a gamer for a while, and really dissatisfied with what DnD did to the Lamia. Glad to find an old school style pic :D! You have a good sense of gesture, and the only thing I would even com close to talking about is some of the blocking and minor anatomical work! Keep it up!!

Actually a Lamia can be half woman/half any animal. If you are a gamer, they have many types, the half lion being the most common. Very good artwork...I think you captured the idea well.
